Cos-Cut Discount Cosmetics was established in Canberra in 2002 by a local couple who had spent their working lives in retail. Their experience in the discount retail environment helped form the concept behind Cos-Cut Discount Cosmetics.

Cos-Cut Discount Cosmetics concept is to provide brand name and generic branded items at value prices. The bulk of the business is in cosmetics and fragrance, but other types of products available include toiletries, consumables and fashion accessories.

The business was sold to a group of Canberra business people in June 2010 & continues to operate as a family owned and run business, with the emphasis to keep things simple and down to earth, whilst remaining highly professional and competitive in the cosmetic retail arena.

There are currently 2 stores in the Cos-Cut family, located at Belconnen & Woden.
